Some oak spices and a hint of nougat to the fresh lemon and star fruit. Quite bright and textured, with bright, zesty acidity giving a lift to the spiced-citrus tonality on the palate.

The 2021 Alto Adige Chardonnay Sanct Valentin is a soft and luscious expression with pretty layers of fresh fruit, apricot, dried sage and sweet lemon-meringue pie. It matures in oak for 11 months, followed by a period of rest in cement. You get lots of fresh varietal character with the complexity to pair with a shellfish risotto.

Lightly toasty and fresh, with creamed apple, almond skin, a rich hint of vanilla-infused pastry cream and accents of fleur de sel and anise. Sleek and well-knit, with bright, lemony acidity driving the long, minerally finish.
