James Suckling 90pt

A vivid, succulent and well-made Sancerre white. The nose reveals notes of white peaches, sliced pears, apples and mild spices. It's medium-bodied with fresh acidity. Crisp and joyful with a mineral edge toward the juicy finish. Drink now. Screw cap.

Wine Enthusiast 90pt

This is a solid Sancerre. An attractive savoriness opens on the nose along with apple blossom, nectarine and freshly crushed lemon peel. The palate echoes the nose with a sprinkling of dried herbs that provides depth on the citrus-zested finish.

Tasting notes

A precise and dynamic wine, delicately balancing and assembling the crispness of Sauvignon Blanc with the elegance of itstypical Sancerre terroir. Chiselled and full-bodied, with crisp fruit and a lingering finish. An expressive nose of citrus fruit and pineapple precedes a round, brilliant palate with hints of eucalyptus, followed by a fresh, mineral finish typical of its appellation.

Description

For 10 generations, we have offered our passion and values ??as winegrowers to develop Sauvignon Blancs and Pinot Noirs of great character. Each member of our family, Jean-Marie Bourgeois, Arnaud, Lionel and Jean-Christophe, bring their talent to the Domaine. Established in Chavignol, in the heart of the best terroirs of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, we cultivate a mosaic of plots respecting our unique terroirs of Kimmeridgian Marl, Silex and Limestone Clays.

Terroir

Vines grown on a terroir of flinty clays and limestone, located on the hills between Chavignol and Sancerre. Yields are deliberately low, with high-density cultivation and interrow grassing.
