Produced with the kind of field blend that's typical of old vineyards in Cardenas, this is Garnacha-based with the remaining 20% made up of Viura and very small amounts of half a dozen other grapes. Foudre and cement aged, it has rose petal and Mediterranean herb aromas, flavors of pomegranate, wild strawberry and pink grapefruit, fine tannin and a taut, mineral finish.

A blend of garnacha from Cardenas with some viura from la Sonsierra. Cardenas has been historically known as one of the best sites for garnacha in the region. It sits at a higher altitude (600 meters) just opposite of the Sierra Cantabria. The wine has a pale pinot-like color with aromas of crushed raspberries, thyme and tile. Medium-bodied with lots of red fruit character, silky, almost nonexistent tannins and a lovely, crisp finish. A red in the spirit of a white.

The 2022 El Pacto de Cardenas Ojo Gallo is a blend of 70% Garnacha Tinta and 30% Viura from the Alto Najerilla area in Rioja. Fermented with 10% stems and aged for 10 months in foudres, this light cherry-colored wine offers raspberry and herbal aromas, accompanied by peach and dried flower notes. Dry, lean and refreshing, the vibrant acid core leads to a cleansing and flavorful finish.
