Vinification

Each grape variety was pressed then fermented separately in stainless steel tanks kept at 24 C. The wine underwent both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations and was aged for six months in 225 litre, French oak & American oak barrels, for precisely the right period of time so as to provide a touch of distinction to the wines.

Food pairing

Its full fruity flavour makes it ideal accompaniment to hot and cold meats, cheeses and even fish in a rich sauce. Best served between 14-16 C.

Estate

Where Art & Wine Become One - Art is universal and so is Enate. The essence of the winery, locked into every drop and printed on every label. Enate and art come together at a lofty point: the desire to create. When it began in 1992, the winery decided that the pairing of winemaking and contemporary culture would be an essential feature of its character. Enate began a contemporary art collection, bringing together works by Spanish and international artists. Since then, each of their wines has been associated with a well-known painter, with a work painted specially for our winery appearing on the label.

Tasting notes

Full ruby color. A complex blackcurrant, blackberry aroma with a touch of violet and hints of red pepper, vanilla and herbs. A smooth, rounded palate with a layer of ripe tannins and a full-flavoured, toasty finish. A good balance of acidity will enable the wine to improve in bottle for up to five years.
