Product Ratings
Decanter 90pt

The 2010 Bernadot is earthy and muddy at first, but gains delineation with airing and develops beguiling aromas of balsam herbs and pot-pourri. Sharp and acidity-driven, it tastes just a bit rustic, with powdery tannins and earthy nuances framing the mid-weight progression. Made in a transitional phase of the estate, this Barbaresco lacks a bit of fruit to be totally compelling.

James Suckling 94pt

This is extremely aromatic with dried strawberries and flowers on the nose. Medium to full body with integrated tannins and a juicy, chewy finish. This needs another three to four years of bottle age to soften.

Vinous Media 90pt

Medium amber-red. Musky aromas of red berries, coffee and animal fur. Denser than the Asij but a bit more rustic too, with a leesy quality and strong soil tones currently overwhelming the fruit. Finishes broad and long, with building ripe tannins.

Wine Advocate 92+pt

The 2010 Barbaresco Bernardot also delivers pretty hues of crushed granite and spice with smoky end-notes of tobacco and cedar that add a mysterious, seductive flair. This is a solid, well-made Barbaresco that captures the overall balance and intensity of the 2010 vintage.
