Costieres de Nimes is the most southerly appellation of the Rhone wine region in southeastern France. The vines lie at a crossroads of the Mediterranean warmth of the South and cool mistral winds from North. The round stones typical of the Rhone valley’s soil capture the sun’s heat during the cold nights and reflect the warmth back to the vines which improved ripeness and quality.
