James Suckling 93pt

Plenty of pinot character with strawberry and dried apple and some flint and matchstick, as well as stone. Its medium- to full-bodied with freshness, a creamy texture and a long, delicious finish. 40% pinot meunier, 30% chardonnay and 30% pinot noir. 28% 2019 and the rest reserve wine going back to 2006. Dosage 3g/l. Drink now.

Vinous Media 90pt

The NV Brut Reserve (2019 base) is a fine introduction to this range. Medium in body and quite gracious, the tasty NV Brut Reserve offers up hints of dried pear, spice, dried flowers, kirsch and chamomile. This is a big step up from what was the norm here a few years ago. This release is based on 2019, with 38% reserve wines going back to 2006. A touch of wood-fermentation (8%) works well here. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: fourth trimester 2023.

Wine Advocate 91pt

Based on the 2020 vintage, this blend of 43% Pinot Meunier, 29% Chardonnay and 28% Pinot Noir, with 71% vins de reserve and 10% perpetual reserve, the NV Brut Reserve offers up aromas of spring flowers, herbs, blossoms, lime and brioche. Medium to full-bodied, tense and precise, with a crystalline texture enhanced by bright acids, this is a long, delicate and ethereal Champagne. It matured 8% in barrels and 36 months on the lees in bottle, followed by six months after disgorgement with three grams per liter dosage.

Wine Enthusiast 92pt

This Champagne is a classic. The non-vintage wine shows real richness and depth. It is structured, open with a honeyed aroma and ripe, rounded white fruits.

Estate

The Champagnes of Maison Billecart-Salmon are above all created thanks to the knowledge of the men who rigorously cultivate an estate of 100 hectares, obtaining grapes from an area totaling 300 hectares across 40 crus of the Champagne region. The majority of the grapes used for vinification come from a radius of 20km around Epernay, where the Grand Crus of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay co-exist, in the ethereal vineyards of the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs.
