For Beaune this is a very deep and positively ripe wine, yet it moves rather light-footedly over the medium- to full-bodied palate. A wealth of black cherry and forest berry fruit is wrapped around the lovingly crafted tannin structure. So much power and concentration, but also a stunning freshness in the very long finish. So hard to resist. Drink or hold.

Rich and juicy, bursting with black cherry, blackberry, boysenberry and spice flavors. This red turns a little darker toward the finish, with smoky, toasty oak, plus black pepper and mineral hints. Brooding and dense.
