Product Ratings
James Suckling 95-96pt

This has phenolic tension and power with so much dried fruit character from pineapple to mango. Full, medium sweet and lively. Really excellent.

Wine Advocate 93-95pt

The 2015 Doisy-Vedrines has quite an intense nose, perhaps less fat and honeyed than recent vintages, more finesse if not quite capturing the same level of details as the Doisy-Daëne this year. The palate is very promising with layers of honeyed fruit tinged with white chocolate and almond, a lovely swagger about this Doisy-Vedrines that reminds me of great vintages such as 1989. Always well priced, you won't harm your cellar with a case of Olivier Castèja's sumptuous Barsac.

Wine Enthusiast 94pt

This is a fragrant, fruity wine. It has dried apricot and bitter orange flavors along with plenty of acidity. The texture is tangy, hinting at minerality, while the aftertaste is what brings out the sweetness and final richness of the wine.

Wine Spectator 94pt

Richer in style than the typical Barsac, with notes of almond cream and orange curd along with honeysuckle, white peach and toasted pineapple flavors. The long, unctuous finish lets the almond hint linger longest.

Vintage

That year, the weather conditions were optimal and the crucial phases unfolded successfully. The flowering, fruit set and ripening took place under ideal conditions with, for the most part, sunny days and cool nights.
