Redcurrant, sweet-tobacco, bark and earth aromas follow through to a full body with a creamy texture of crushed stone and pure fruit at the end. It’s tight and pure with beautiful finesse and mouth-feel. 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc. Second wine of Angelus.

The 2019 Le Carillon d'Angelus has turned out beautifully. Succulent and racy to the core, with gorgeous understated balance, the 2019 is impeccable from start to finish. Dark red fruit, chocolate, new leather and spice are nicely pushed forward. The 60% new oak is a bit prominent at this stage. It will be interesting to see how that plays out over time.
