Product Ratings
James Suckling 91pt

Very primary aromas of crushed berries and flowers. Medium to full body and tight with polished, chewy tannins. Lovely at the end.

by James Suckling, 2019
Vinous Media 91pt

The 2016 Mazeyres presents an exotic profile laced with bright, high-toned aromatic and super-ripe red fruits. Blood orange, mint and floral notes all run through the wine This is a decidedly overt style of Pomerol and yet the 2016 remains gracious and medium in body, with the perfume that is typical of sandier soils.

Wine Enthusiast 91pt

This is a ripe and generous wine, full of black fruits and ample acidity. There is plenty of tannic grip to frame the fruitiness. It is going to be rich, ripe and finely structured.

Ageing

33 % new oak, 40 % older barrels 27 % concrete egg tanks.

Tasting notes

The nose is very elegant. It smells of white peach, violet, dried fruits. The attack is soft and envelopping. The sensation in the mouth is a voluptuous caress. The wine is fresh and crunchy. The finish is refined and persistent with notes of red fruits and almonds. This is the most beautiful vintage of the property at this point.
