Aromas of ripe berries, licorice, leather and bark. Some dark-chocolate, too. Medium-bodied, polished and soft with firm tannins. Velvety finish with hints of flowers and crushed stones. Very subtle and fine. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification.
The 2019 Haut Bergey offers up a rich bouquet of earthy blackberry fruit, burning embers and red berry compote. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and generous, with powdery tannins and succulent acids, it's round and giving, with a slight fragility to its flavors that makes me think it will be at its best in the near term.
Editor's Choice <br> Structured, full of promise and with layers of black fruits and tannins, this ripe wine is set for aging. The texture, with its dry core, is dense and powerful.
Very fresh, especially for the vintage, showing slightly high-pitched damson plum and black cherry flavors lined with a sanguine note. Reveals light savory and tobacco echoes on the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec.
