Blackcurrants, spices and blueberries with some lead pencil on the nose. Medium body with fine tannins that are polished and pretty. Nice finish. Not the most structured 2019, but very attractive and well crafted.

The 2019 Croizet-Bages is a dark, fleshy Pauillac. Black cherry, plum, new leather, licorice, tobacco and smoke give this hearty, medium to full-bodied wine a good deal of complexity. There are some rough edges, but also plenty to like. Croizet-Bages is a wine of substance that will blossom at the dinner table.
