The 2022 La Chapelle de Haut-Bages Liberal is a gorgeous second wine. Dark red-toned fruit, rose petal, blood orange, mint and dried herbs are all finely knit. Supple and juicy, with plenty of complicating savoriness, La Chapelle is impressive. Elevage is 60% French oak (10% new) and 40% cement.

The second wine of Haut-Bages Liberal is structured with ripe tannins from the dense Cabernet Franc. Its black currant aroma and balance between a firm structure and black fruits. Organic and biodynamic.

Red berries, red currants, white pepper and spiced cherries follow through to a firm, medium-bodied palate with fluid fruit and a juicy finish. Not complex but already vivid and inviting. From organically grown grapes. Drink now or hold.
