Casting a deep garnet-purple color, the 2019 Monbrison comes bounding out of the glass with expressive plum preserves, blueberry compote and blackcurrant pastilles scents plus suggestions of molten chocolate, camphor and woodsmoke. Medium-bodied, the palate is refreshing and vibrantly fruity, featuring approachable, finely grained tannins and a minerally kick to the finish.
