Currants, black cherries and a touch of tobacco, black olives and dark chocolate. Excellent typicity here with solid, juicy fruit and fine-grained tannins on the medium- to full-bodied palate. Very good length. Drink from 2025.

The 2022 Paloumey is a rich, heady Haut-Medoc. Soft contours wrap around a core of blue/purplish fruit. Spice, tobacco, cedar, incense and licorice appear over time. There's plenty of immediacy here.

This is a young wine with great potential. Its black fruit aroma and rich black currant and structured tannins are melding together in a ripe wine that should age well.
