Wine Enthusiast 91pt

Owned by the Bernard family who also own one of the major Bordeaux negociants, Millesima, the wine is structured, deliciously fruity and with a series of smoky tannins that will allow it to age. It comes from a vineyard close to Pauillac and that shows in the dense Cabernet Sauvignon that gives the wine its weight.

Estate

The chateau Peyrabon vineyard presents 45 hectares in the Haut-Médoc appellation. The 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot represent the grape varietal percentage of the blend. These late harvested varietals took advantage of this late and long lasting autumn. Those conditions give a feeling of freshness, fineness and smoothness to the palate. In the nose, Peyrabon 2014 shows great aromas of black fruits. The elegant and soft tannins give a dynamic first impression on the mouth. This is a fresh and well made wine!
