Harvest
The 2025 vintage was shaped by a paradox: a dry winter offset by mild temperatures that triggered an early bud break as soon as late March. April and May then
brought more rainfall, keeping the vineyard teams on constant watch. Summer was hot and dry, with heat waves in August that the vines handled with ease. A growth
slowdown in July allowed sugars to build slowly and steadily, preserving a remarkable balance. Harvest began as early as August 27 - a rare occurrence on our Bel Air
plateau - and wrapped up on September 1 . The grapes that arrived in the cellar were perfectly ripe, healthy, and surprisingly fresh given the season.
Terroir
Chateau Bel-Air Gallier sits on the Bel Air plateau, in the heart of the Graves appellation, where sky, sun, and soil come together in perfect balance.
Owned by Matthieu Gufflet since 2008, the estate produces elegant Graves wines across 30 hectares of vines - 25 hectares planted with red varieties, 5 hectares with white.
The terroir, a true geological mosaic, ensures natural drainage and gives the wines their complexity and distinctive character. Over the centuries, the estate has evolved into a vineyard now certified HVE3, France's highest level of environmental recognition.
The soil is comprised of gravel and clay.
Ageing
Aged on lees in stainless steel tanks for 6 months with regular stirring.
Tasting notes
Pale yellow with a brilliant shine. The nose opens with vibrant aromatic intensity, blending fresh citrus notes with rounder hints of honey and white flowers.
On the palate, a lively entry gives way to a harmonious mid-palate. The finish is fruity and well-balanced, lingering with elegance, a beautiful expression of
the Sauvignon and Semillon blend.
Vinification
Cold-settled in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats.
