The Sauvignon, the most important grape variety in the blend,
gives a great freshness to the wine whereas the Muscadelle bring
a nice roundness. This blend allows getting an “easy to drink†wine
developing aromas of citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit) and white
flowers. A lively wine focused on the respect of the fruit that will
appeal to as many people as possible.
Vinification
Control of fermentations, work of the lees by battonage.
Backstory
Belonging to the Glotin family since 1930, Château Haut Bessac is located
in the heart of the Graves de Vayres appellation, nestled on the banks of
the Dordogne. The 120 ha estate is made up of vines (60 ha), forests and
meadows. An enclosure in one piece whose limits are natural (river and
forest). While being in one piece, the terroir is very diverse from one side of
the estate to the other. The vineyard is made up of a central plateau of clay and limestone,
framed on either side by gravelly hillsides, with clayey gravel.
Château Haut Bessac is our ready to drink wines, friendly and approachable.
Wines that offer great purity of fruit and a smooth texture.
Seeking above all the pleasure for everyone.
Ageing
3 months in French Oak Barrels.
